Salvation
Salvation
Salvation is the forgiveness of sin and relationship with God. It is real life change.
When we put our faith in Christ, it triggers a spiritual chain reaction.
- God, Himself lives in us (I Corinthians 6:19).
- We are given eternal life (John 3:16).
- We are adopted and become children of God (Galatians 4:4-7).
- Our sins are forgiven and forgotten (Hebrews 8:12).
- We are given the righteousness of Christ (Romans 4:4-5).
- God does a miracle and makes us new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
- We receive an inheritance from God called eternal life (Ephesians 1:13-14 & I Peter 1:3-5).
The internal evidence of salvation is the confidence that God gives us that we are children of God. The external evidence happens as God’s ways begin to come out in our attitudes and behaviors, known as the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
